The fashion spread in the March/April 2014 issue of Departures is being personally filed under ‘Inspiration’. The shoot, titled ‘Resorting in Style to the Côte D’Azur’ is photographed by Kalle Gustafsson and styled by Ildo Damiano, inspired by French writer and filmmaker Jean Cocteau’s life in the South of France. Growing up in London, my family and I spent many summers on the southern coast of France, headquartered in my grandma’s house in Cogolin, a few minutes drive from Saint Tropez, Ramatuelle, Gassin, and Saint Raphael. This shoot was shot at Villefranche-sur-Mer, up along the coast passed Cannes of festival fame, Antibes, and Nice.

The shoot features clothing from luxury brands including Bottega Veneta, Salvatore Ferragamo, Emenegildo Zegna, Brunello Cucinelli, Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane, Burberry Prorsum, Berluti, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford, Gucci, and Prada.

Departures Magazine fashion will take a new turn, as our friend Horacio Silva, previously of T Magazine and who contributed to this latest issue with a wonderful piece on the new capsule collection from Louis Vuitton, Icons, was recently snapped up by the magazine as fashion and style director, a perfect fit for Horacio, and we congratulate him. His first issue at the fashion and style helm will be out later this year; we can’t wait.
